This tool balances two distinct striking functions on a single head:
The Driving Face:
A ground, slightly curved square face with chamfered edges. This design is optimised for true, dead-centre strikes against steel hand tools (like your Trow & Holden Hand Tracer), minimising the glancing blows that ruin carbide edges.
The Vertical Chisel Edge:
A sharp, straight-pein splitting edge aligned with the handle. It functions as a built-in stone tracer, concentrating kinetic energy into a single linear point to score and crack stone or aggregate without requiring a separate chisel
