The Footprint Masons Pitcher, or Pitching Chisel, is a typical stone masons tool used to remove unwanted stone from the face or sides of a masonry block that is being worked on. You “pitch” the surface to dress the stone as required.
The shape of the handle and the blade being bevelled only on one side allow the Masons Pitcher can be hit with a sideways swing.
