The 125mm carbide tipped bushhammer wheel is specifically designed for bushhammering stone to produce a pitted finish. This tool is highly suitable for sandstone and other types of masonry and provides a natural, traditional finish to smooth surfaces. By altering the speed at which the tool is maneuvered, a variety of effects can be achieved. Moreover, employing a carbide hand point can further enhance the effect.
The wheels are replaceable when they are worn or damaged. If used correctly at a slow RPM (under 1,000), the wheels and bearings can offer a prolonged service life. To maximize the benefits of this tool, it is recommended that the wheel is mounted on a polisher with variable speed, an M14 thread, and high torque. A 180mm machine is an ideal fit for this purpose.
Though the tool is usually reserved for horizontal applications, it can be used vertically with caution. Adherence to dust regulations and wearing protective eyewear is crucial when using the tool. This attachment enables stonemasons to achieve traditional finishes easily and efficiently.
